ESPN.com news servicesNEW YORK -- Andy Roddick will retire after the U.S. Open, he said in a news conference Thursday.
"It's a matter of how I feel, and if I feel I can compete at the highest level," he said of his decision.
Roddick celebrated his 30th birthday on Thursday.
