Running back Maurice Jones-Drew, who held out from training camp in the hopes of getting a new contract, will report to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, a source familiar with the situation told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

His holdout reached its 38th day Saturday, tying former receiver Jimmy Smith (2002) for the longest holdout in Jagaurs history. Jones-Drew amassed $1.2 million in fines during his absence.

The star running back wants a new deal after leading the league with 1,606 yards rushing last season. He has two years remaining on a five-year, front-loaded contract worth $31 million. He is scheduled to make $4.45 million this season and $4.95 million in 2013.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
