Nottingham is second in the table of British medal winners, with two golds, two silvers and a bronze.
The golds come from canoeists Etienne Stott and Tim Baillie – both mechanical engineering graduates from the university.
They beat fellow Nottingham alumnus David Florence – who studied mathematical physics - into silver position in the final of the men’s canoe double.
Biology graduate Chris Bartley was part of the lightweight four rowing team that finished an agonisingly close second in the final of their event.
Maths and economics graduate Anne Panter was part of the women's hockey team that won bronze.
Oxford came third with two golds, two silvers and one bronze, while Cambridge were fourth with two golds, one silver and two bronzes.
