Omaha - Mayor Jim Suttle has selected Todd Schmaderer to serve as the city's new Chief of Police.
He been an Acting Deputy Police Chief since 1996 and a Command Officer since 2001.
Schmaderer beat out three other candidates, one from within the Omaha Police Department and two men from out of town.
