Omaha, NE - A 44-year-old woman was arrested for reportedly trying to poison her ex-husband's milk.
Police say Linda Orr tried to kill her 52-year-old ex by "adding an unidentified chemical" to food in their shared refrigerator. The two, although divorced, still lived together.
Court papers show Orr says she's not guilty. She's being held on $100,000 bond after her arrest for attempted first degree assault.
The day after the alleged attempted poisoning Thomas Orr asked for a protection order, saying that on July 19th he ate two bowls of cereal and noticed the milk smelled bad and made him dizzy. He confronted Linda, telling her he was going to have the milk tested. She reportedly tried to grab the milk and pour it down the drain.
He caught the struggle--and more--on a security camera he'd installed in the house.
When police arrived, he showed them additional video of her "putting something poison in the milk carton that morning at 7:15."
According to the protection order: Detectives returned to the house "to pick up the chemical that she said she put into the milk. I am afraid of what she will do next."
No court dates have been set yet for Linda Orr. If found guilty, she faces up to 20 years in prison.
